"Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well."
In light of expounding the revelational truth embedded in our versified reference, I have decided to divide the versified statement into four remarkable segmental differentiations for easy identification of numerous insightful enlightenment therein, and therefore the differentiations are namely stated as follows:
1. Buy the truth and do not sell it.
2. Buy wisdom,
3. Buy instruction,
4. Buy insight.
In today's article, I'm going to point out the difference between the truth and these three other specified interrelated virtues of perceptive discipline.
What is the truth? The truth is that which is reliably appropriate to sound doctrine. Now if you are particularly concerned about receiving and gaining sound doctrine, eternal Word is an all-encompassing tome of outstanding revealed collections that address all relevant aspects of God's knowledge available in various colours, namely truth, wisdom, instructions, insights. Got it?
Now watch this: Among the four outlined moral virtues, the truth which is eternal, is a rampantly acknowledged terminology in all major and multifaceted applications of Christian faith. However the terminology does not supply outstanding influences by itself alone; the other terminologies that add significant weight and quality lexicon to the definite expressions of the subject of "eternal truth" are wisdom, instruction and insight.
To substantiate this truth with phenomenal Pauline epistolary expression stated in 2nd Timothy 2:15, the Scripture reads, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2nd Timothy 2:15 NKJV). Rightly dividing the word of truth here is simply implicative of teaching it skillfully, as well as handling it accurately, but here is the main insight we ought to observe: This very versified statement did not say, "dividing the truth" but rather it says, "dividing the "word" of truth." And there is a "slightly organised" observatory difference between the "truth" and the "word" of truth, meaning that "word" of truth is demonstratively available in veritable textures such as wisdom, instruction and insight. Got it!
For further in-depth clarification, the "word" of truth is entirely denotative of the statements, wordings and colours embedded in divine truth, namely wisdom, instruction, insight, and they solemnly grant significant weight to the absolute knowledge of eternal truth. These all-too-familiar or interrelated terminologies are obtained or acquired by study-oriented approach. Hence, this could inspire the very reason you would hear apostle Paul addressing Timothy to study to show himself approved unto God, a workman, who had no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth, thereby achieving meaningful results, as well as divine goals.
So my first question is:
How do you buy the truth, then wisdom, instruction and insight? Start by organising yourself as a student of the Word, and ardently strive to pray oftentimes, as well as create an enabling environment around you - characterized by deep learning and searching of the Scriptures, with sustained practice. In fundamental essence, buying all of those virtues emphasizes the unco importance of functioning by supernatural abilities, which in turn positions a person to be open to ever-present remedies and solutional defence. For instance, lets delve into consideration, the verity of what the value of buying wisdom can do for anybody:
The Ecclesiastic edition of Solomonic inspired wisdom numbered as Ecclesiastes 7:12 reads, "For wisdom is a defense even as money is a defense, but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom shields and preserves the life of him who has it" (AMPC).
As we can see, the intervening role of divine wisdom is clearly articulated in the 7th chapter of the book of Ecclesiastes. In a nutshell, by buying all of the listed virtues and activating their remedial or problem-solving values, you can never be inept at handling life's situational challenges and being divinely productive because their varied interventional roles have been well proven in diverse generations to produce significant interposing tendencies, beneficially-impactful results, and worthwhile effectual solutions, plus manifold sense of satisfying relief. Stay tuned for more on the first segment, "Buy the truth and do not sell it." Shalom!
