This very topic amplifies the power of critical thinking and strategic responsibility to make important knowledge of noble qualities [virtues] accessible by a purchasing value. Proverbs 23:23 New International Version (NIV)
"Buy the truth and do not sell it— wisdom, instruction and insight as well."
The Scripture didn't just say, "Buy the truth"; here, three other interrelated virtues of perceptive discipline are outlined, namely wisdom, instruction and insight, which I will explore in great details, as I go or advance further in my expository teaching.
Important Questions:
Which truth? Which wisdom? which instruction? Which insight? If the determinate referenced expression is truly coming from the Scripture, then it implies that the instruction is pointing us to the biggest source of truth which is Biblical truth. So the main focus must be fixed on divine attributes of Supreme Deity. To that effect, proverbial edition of Solomonic wisdom numbered as Proverbs 2:6 reads, "For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding"...(NKJV).
So what is this truth? It is what is reliably appropriate to sound doctrine. And buying the truth? It is mainly indicative of a practical approach, strategy or guideline for acquiring it. Proverbs 23:23 reads, "Buy truth—don't sell it for love or money; buy wisdom, buy education, buy insight" (MSG). So don't ever ignore or neglect the instruction to buy them. But how? Is it about buying a whole Bible and publicizing it on social media platforms to inform that the Bible is study Bible or parallel Bible, or chronological Bible, or devotional Bible or multiple or reference Bible or even large-print Bible, and also explain that it cost £8, or five times the price of basic paperback Bible? Not at all.
If you are to precisely comprehend the "buying" code consideration, you will definitely be less inclined with assuming that its anything about the cost of premium leather Bible or about conclusively comparing the cost of gaining a truth-carrying publication and considering the best possible ways to purchase this very wisdom, instruction and insight in an expensive way or in a "less costly" manner.
Firstly, buying the truth starts with a saint's eager participatory relationship with Supreme Deity through moral indulgences. In another word, buying the truth is more fully understood through the choice to deeply entertain intimate relations, commitments and spiritual collaborations with divine grace and enablement. You can call it cooperation, fellowship, partnership, and working together with Supreme Deity. In doing so, you'll be divinely endowed with strong reasons to obtain the truth by higher spiritual purchasing value.
Secondly, you could start by doing a lot of work on identifying or analysing the awesomely available benefits and values embedded in the truth, thereby being more clear about what this truth will do for you in the long run through your participatory influence. To instantiate this phenomenal verity, you can analyse the fact that the purpose of buying a computer is to search the internet and find information quickly, or to write emails and design graphics, or to edit photos and videos, or to communicate with colleagues, or to gain creative or valuable skills such as coding and data analysis.
