YOU WON BEFORE THE BATTLE - PART 4

Reference: 1 John 4:4 New Living Translation (NLT)

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

The last segment in the above versified reference, which is designed to crown the ending part of this topic is:

because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

In other words, no victory without the Spirit of God. You can either maximise or minimise the possibility of the perpetuity of your victory in Christ, depending on the level of your active relationship with the Holy Spirit. Since this is the case, if you are wise, you'll always allow the Spirit to fill you to full capacity, thereby providing a higher ground for effective "victory" capabilities. That's where the real deal of Christ's victory lies. Or didn't you notice the word "because", which introduces the reason or explanation for our victory in our versified statement. Put it in another way, in this context, "because" is a subordinate conjunction that emphasizes the reason we have already won a victory over the world. Again observe our referenced Scripture: "You have already won a victory over those people, BECAUSE the Spirit who lives in you..."

If I may be allowed this expression, please I urge you to make this truth a conscious awareness, and the Spirit of God will supply His grace to you in an incessant manner, in order to function accordingly. Imagine what will happen as you carry the consciousness of this truth into every nook and cranny of your world, even in the most crowded or in the midst of happening environments. People will surely recognise the aura of His presence in and around you, as you manifest the victory of Christ from place to place. Zero wonder 2nd Corinthians 2:14 (The Voice) reads, "Yet I am so thankful to God, who always marches us to victory under the banner of the Anointed One; and through us He spreads the beautiful fragrance of His knowledge to every corner of the earth."

The precious Holy Spirit does not react negatively to our surroundings. So it is possible for us to keep ourselves in the realm of Christ's victory at all times, by stirring ourselves up through the fellowship of the Godhead wherever we are, and whatever may lie around us. For instance, you may be at the market place, and may need to handle a situation victoriously; as you immerse yourself in the Spirit in that environment, you'll surely position yourself to manifest the victory of Christ's love. Apostle Paul was a man who found himself in the worst scenes of adversity, yet he stood his ground and verbalised the wisdom of the Spirit by saying: "No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us" (Romans 8:37 NLT).

Beloved, Johannine literature revealed more so, the secret of our victory, and it reads, "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4 NIV). Majestically, God has distributed to each one of us, a measure of faith (Romans 12:3 NIV). For each measure of faith individually received, when we use it aright and grow it, it makes us capable of possessing more of Christ's victory. And the measure of our "faith" capacity is the measure by which the Spirit of God manifests Himself in our lives, denoting that the more we host Him by faith, the more we function in unquestionable victory.

Therefore, the walls of our faith must be continually stretched in order to draw frequent supplies of the needed strength for our victorious exercise - from the Spirit of God. Have you now grasped how God gives us the victory? It is through our Lord Jesus Christ, by His indwelling Spirit at work in us. Christ is the true source of victory for the saints because an unlimited and absolute dominion, plus abundance of divine power - is tabernacled in Him. Stay tuned for part 5. Shalom!

I was born to manifest and epitomize the continuation of Christ's victory. Hence, the Holy Spirit increases my faith-filled responses and transmits affarent impulses to my inward being, thereby making my experiential winning procedures simple and easy - at all times. Hallelujah!
