THE MYSTERY ABOUT VISION SIMPLIFIED - PART 1
Who are you in the future? Sometimes we think that this question is hard to answer because we assume that the future is in a place somewhere. The question simply means, 'show me your vision'. Having a vision means that you've been invited by God to see what will happen in your future. There's something about knowing what will happen; it gives you confidence. It also helps you to focus, rather than doing anything else that you'll never practise. So vision helps you to focus. And until its written down clearly, you may never focus properly.

'Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.'
Vision is important to God. This is the reason He said, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope' (Jeremiah 29:11 ESV). God gives us a future and a hope through vision, but you must write it and make it plain. In other words, write it in a way that if you look at it tomorrow, you'll understand it. Remember that complicated vision or ideas can mislead you.
How is it possible to see things that will happen in the future before they happen? Where is that place you can see a thing today before it materialises? Where is that dimension you can touch and feel 'tomorrow' today? Its in you! God has placed a desired future in you. You can get in touch with tomorrow's reality from your inner man because there's a spirit in a man that is inspired by God. Job 32:8 (NLT) reads, 'But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent.'
Jesus also shared the importance of vision through healing the blind. Although its natural sight, we can learn a lot about vision with that sense. In Mark 8:22-26 (NIV), some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.”
I use this story as a metaphor for today's topic because its symbolic of birthing a vision. There's something about the touch of the Lord. In the above verses, that touch gave birth to a vision. Notice that Jesus took the blind man out of the city because Jesus didn't want him to start his vision by seeing finished building. He gave him the vision by taking him outside the city, probably to the bush because before the city was built, it was once a bush or forest. In other words, God can give you a vision at its infancy.
Your vision can come across to you as a bush or a thick forest and from the scratch, God wants to work through you to develop it into a city. No wonder, Jesus told the man 'don't even go into the village.' He was worried about what the man was going to see. Unfortunately some people have abandoned their vision by ignoring the forests that could've been built into a new city and went to the finished city because they didn't realise that a great journey could begin with things that might not make sense.
On several occasions, when Jesus healed the blind, He often wanted us to learn that vision has to do with creative ability. In fact it requires creativity and a creative mind. In another instance, where Jesus healed a man that was born blind, He spat on the ground, made some mud, and applied it to the man's eyes. Then He told him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam'' and the man went and washed and came back seeing (see John 9:6-7). That was a creative miracle that birthed a vision.
From the beginning, God did the same. He formed man with dust and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 2:7 NIV). His DNA was transferred to man just like Jesus transferred His DNA (spit) into the mud to create the blind man's vision. Did you know that the pharisees were worried about the man's vision later on?
The devil is more worried about your vision, than he is about your authority in Christ. Why? This is because Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) says, 'where there's no vision, the people perish.'

Precious Father, I thank you for inviting me into your eternal purpose through visions in conformity with your perfect will for me. I tap into the power of your plan for my daily life by meditating on the Scriptures, spending time in prayer, and worshipping you. By your Spirit, I'm strengthened with power in my inner man such that I function with definite insight, wisdom and revelation in connection to my vision. Thus my heart is awakened to be fully active in fulfilling my destiny in Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
