THE LOCATION IS ALARMING - PART 1

FRIDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2023

As a child of God, there are places you should never be found in. This is what I'm about to expound today, according to Solomonic wisdom. Beloved, the presence of a fool is an alarming location, meaning that our relational setting is important to God. In order to capture the right energy from the right sources with enriching, edifying, and beneficial influence, you must be willing to mingle with the right company who regard true knowledge. More below!

Reference: Proverbs 14:7 English Standard Version (ESV) "Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge."

The presence of a fool is not a good location. The location is faulty. That's the reason King Solomon urged us to vacate their immediate vicinity. Why? Lack of knowledge. Referenced Scripture says, "...for there you do not meet words of knowledge." The presence of a fool is simply an alarming location; it is worrying and disturbing to be in their company. Leaving their presence is likened to that very moment where all staff members in a particular work place hears their alarm system go off, and exit the building to the nearest alarm call point due to fire risk. In a similar manner, the wise King Solomon saw it as his duty to warn us about a fool's presence and companionship. Withdraw from them because their presence is alarming and thus, can never be conducive for your conceptual or rational upgrade.

Why did Solomon notify us about staying far from such person? It's because he understood the heart of God. It was God Himself who said, 'My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children"' (Hosea 4:6 NIV). If God could reject His priests (His anointed ones) for lack of knowledge, what about a mere fool? If God Himself said, "I refuse to recognize you as my priests for rejecting knowledge, and for ignoring or forgetting my laws", then we must pay apt attention to the voice of Solomon.

This is because God arranges our circumstances in order that, by being at the right place and engaging the right association, we can gain the wit and mental awareness necessary to keep us moving in the right direction. And in the company of the wise, we find suitable occasions to exercise our incisive acumen, out of the availability of perspicacity, which is lodged into our inwardness through the brightness of wise communications, that empowers us to keep fulfilling the purpose for which we've received our new life in Christ. Zero wonder the Bible says, "Wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools" (Proverbs 13:20 CEV).

Now who is a fool? According to Biblical definition, a fool is one who loves folly. He is stupid fellow, reckless and careless with wisdom because he is unconcerned about it, and ignorant in the knowledge of God's law and its principles. A fool takes no pleasure in spiritual understanding, but relies on his own understanding. For instance, the Bible says, "Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered" (Proverbs 28:26 ESV). Not surprising Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths" (CJB).

In summary, Proverbs 23:9 (ESV) reads, "Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words." Having the same purpose in mind, Pauline epistolary exposition noted, "However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory" (1 Corinthians 2:6-7 NKJV). In other words, the communication is sound and rewarding, when you entertain the company of the wise, which denotes a mature and agreeable companion. Unlike fools, the mature minds being raised in Christ, understand and embrace the wordings of divine knowledge because they are quite pleasurable and uplifting, plus they make you fruitful. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration: I have gained accurate comprehension of a great truth in Solomonic script, which reveals that I require wise association in order to know and function aright. Through the blessed people that surround me, I receive the right thoughts that touch and trigger the springs of my rising, and the proper knowledge that sets going, the wheels of my progress.
