ROYAL HEADSHIP - PART 3

If you are functioning as a royal headship, you are a God-man, destined to be the head over all creation, just like I am. Psalm 82:5-6 reads, "I say, 'You are gods; you are all children of the Most High'" (NLT). In other words, you are a divine personification with the nature of God; you're not an ordinary person. Why so? The union of God and a new man was consummated in Christ's resurrection, making us a divine archetype in the assembly of the Godhead. Therefore, as a born again Christian, you are a god that represents God on earth; so you are to often function as the "god" which you are, not less than that, otherwise you'll become as earthly as mortals.

Reference: Ephesians 2:6-7 The Message (MSG)

"Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus."

To expound the above Scriptural truths with the accurate understanding and divine reasoning, I have decided to split the versified reference into 3 segments for your sophisticated spiritual enlightenment based on a heightened degree of divine revelation. The three segments are as follows:

1. Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

2. Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world.

3. And the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.

Today's article is focused on the first segment which is: Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

Beloved, it was God that raised us up together with Christ and made us sit down together with Him in the heavenly sphere, giving us joint seating with Him. This resulted in our titles as royal headships, having become gods by virtue of new birth. So God is now being manifested in us profusely, as the new creation. Even before the foundation of the world was laid, He reserved the title for us, that we might discover the God-realities and participate in expressing God, and the incomparable Christ, through our earthen vessels.

A divine positioning such as sharing a joint seating in the highest heaven with Jesus - denotes that your office in the realm of royal headship is unquestionable, irrefutable or beyond dispute. Now watch this: Functioning as a royal headship starts with a thought pattern.

Question: How does a royal headship think?

Answer: For you know the saying, "We live in God; we move in God; we exist in God." And still another said, "We are indeed God's children." Since this is true, since we are indeed offspring of God's creative act, we shouldn't think of the Deity as our own artifact, something made by our own hands—as if this great, universal, ultimate Creator were simply a combination of elements like gold, silver, and stone. No, God has patiently tolerated this kind of ignorance in the past, but now God says it is time to rethink our lives and reject these unenlightened assumptions" (Acts 17:28-31 Voice).

In other words, what we are in God is not a fiction, because we are not dealing with mere idolic symbolism designed by the craftiness of ordinary human beings. Got it? So this Scripture is introducing us to a solemn, godly and enduring thought pattern that conveys God as a real Deity. Thus when we talk or think about God as divine being, we must think more clearly about His sovereignty and genuineness, instead of resorting to inferior thought pattern that equates Him with something that's made on earth, like so many people in the world do.

Hear me again: You are a god that typifies God on planet earth; you are a great wonder in this present world, and you must always consider yourself as the superior, wonderful, glorious, complete, and perfect image of God in Christ (see Colossians 2:10 NASB). Or haven't you realised that you have been markedly and brazenly initiated into divine assembly where God presides?

 

To that effect, a Psalm of Asaph reads, "God stands in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods [divine beings]" (Psalm 82:1 AMP). Here, the versified statement makes reference to the association of Supreme Deity, with sense of our belongingness as the gods. Hallelujah!

When did we become initiated into this divine assembly? At the point of new birth! To that effect, Hebraic awakening apprehension reads:

"But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, You have come to the assembly of God's firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God Himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect. You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel" (Hebrews 12:22-24 NLT).

Just take the time to imagine the calibre of divine association we got initiated into. None of the above-mentioned entities has an equal regard, rank or ability with the natural man - in the earth realm. Sometimes, I feel like exploding with an uncontrolled roar, due to excessive internal poise that well up in my innermost being, after engaging with this sort of revelatory insight into divine reality.
