RESIDENT IN YOUR SPIRIT LONG BEFORE IT HAPPENS
The word 'mystery' in the bible properly signifies a thing which was hid from all ages, but is now made manifest. Mysteries are secrets, confided only to the initiated or the highly favoured and not to everyone. They are hidden or secret things, not obvious to human understanding. For instance, the wide extent of God's grace was a mystery, i.e. a hidden counsel, before Christ came and died for our sakes. Now it is made known to us, who are in Christ.
Reference: Ephesians 1:9 New International Version (NIV) 'he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ.'
Your blessings will always be made known to your spirit first, by the Lord showing them to you and its revealed as the mystery of His sovereign will. Once it's made known to you, it becomes a tool that will provoke your honour, a code for your success, and a pillar of support for great accomplishments because knowing God's will is a powerful thing. It means that its no longer a mystery; it has been made it known to your spirit. Suddenly your outlook becomes sharper, your attitude changes, and uncertainty loses its ability to play games with your mind. Now you know and knowledge is empowerment!
The Bible says, 'The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits' (Daniel 11:32 KJV). When you have it known in your spirit, you are prepared to face anything and prevail. What is revealed and deposited in your spirit is very important. That's what determines your altitude or the height of your success in life. That revelation knowledge in your inward man gives you the direction required to fulfil your destiny and propels you beyond human understanding to accomplish your purpose. That's why a divine revelation cannot be figured out in your head. It can also cause you to be misunderstood by others because the origin is divine.
You can harbour the insight or knowledge of a huge blessing, a project, or a great accomplishment in your spirit long before it becomes a reality in the physical realm. The Bible says, 'We know about these things because God has sent His Spirit to tell us' (1 Corinthians 2:10 TLB). When God imparts wisdom to you, it positions you to succeed in your calling or field. What is the difference between that bank manager and the cashier? It's what he or she knows! They may look uniformed in so many way and in every other sense, including appearance but one has paid the price to obtain skills and be equipped with expertise that placed him or her far above the other. For that reason, their positions don't have the same reward.
We know these things. Very important. God can cause you to know something that will change the course of your life and generation and it can place you far above your equals. He can show you something at midnight that can bring tremendous increase in your field or your life from the next morning. Daniel as an ordinary man, was set against the Babylonian magicians who failed to interpret the king's dream, but by 'midnight revelation' and the power that belongs to God alone, he was able to tell the king the dream with simplicity.
Not by Daniel's skills, his intellectual intelligence, or gift in the arts of divination but by a mystery revealed in his spirit. Nebuchadnezzar eventually affirmed that Daniel's god is 'the God of gods and Lord of kings and revealer of mysteries.' He lavished gifts on Daniel and made him chief of all the wise men and ruler over the province of Babylon (see Daniel 2:46-49 NIV). Glory to God!
What about Joseph, a slave whose story changed overnight? - from prison to palace. 'Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they quickly brought him out of the pit...And Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it' (see Genesis 41:14-15 ESV). Why would they send for him? Was he the only one in the prison?
In His presence, you can receive insights that give you purpose, hope, dignity, direction, boldness and inspiration. And then His Spirit will enable and strengthen you to move forward in that direction, to pursue the reality of what has been revealed and deposited in your spirit. So make sure you practise His presence and participate in the divine experience daily. Spend time with God so He can reveal His will in the matters that concern your life and future.
