MAKING JESUS FAMOUS - PART 1
To make Jesus famous is to tell others about Him through the glorious Gospel. It is to establish His knowledge as the Saviour and His Lordship in the hearts of men. It is to witness to the Master's glory and take the message of reconciliation with God through faith in Christ to as many people as possible.

Reference: Acts 1:8 New Living Translation (NLT): "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
When we come to Christ, we become a new creation, ready to go to heaven because we have received eternal life. However we still have a responsibility on earth, which is to be His witnesses, telling people about Him here on earth and making Him famous in our spheres of influence. That's why God has placed us here as His ambassadors. We are in the rightful place and position to witness for Him. For this reason we have received the Holy Spirit, whose work is to enable us to spread the message everywhere, that salvation is found in Jesus alone. He is the One that empowers us to continue God's plan for the world.
Jesus came and dwelt among men, to establish the means by which mankind could be saved through His death on the cross and His resurrection. Now He has ascended. The Bible says, "When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied" (Mark 16:19-20). The Holy Spirit is now with us, confirming God's Word in men's lives as we share it. He is the Lord of the harvest. This means, the harvest of souls we experience on a regular basis is not actually of our own making - it is the work and influence of the Holy Spirit, because He is the Lord of the harvest, not us. If you say Jesus is the Lord of the harvest, you are also correct, because in a nutshell… He sends us (Luke 10:2-3 NIV).
So what's your responsibility as His witness? In order to discharge your duty as a witness for Christ, make your life a clear testimony, so that your love for God may be visible to all. By doing so, you position and make yourself available for His use and by being constantly filled with His Spirit, you can witness for Him effectively in season and out of season. 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NLT) says, 'So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God."' The apostles fulfilled Jesus' commission in their time; now is our turn to function as Christ's ambassadors.
Just as we have political ambassadors who live in a foreign land, representing the interests of their home, so too do we represent Jesus and His message to the world. God is making His appeal to the world through us and we stand as His ambassadors. In other words, we are the Christ's representatives in promoting the glorious Gospel and restoring men's relationship with God. Hallelujah!

Guided Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that your desire is that no one would perish and that all would come to have everlasting life through Jesus. As a faithful witness, plant in me an insatiable hunger to sow the seed of the Gospel everywhere in my world. As I share the good news that Christ has paid the price for the salvation of all mankind, I pray that their hearts would be receptive to take action and be led to Christ through the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Father for this great honour of being Christ's witness and ambassador, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
