MAKING DECISIONS BASED ON THE WORD

Good decisions count towards good success. It projects or forecasts a rosy future on the basis of divine reality. Decisions based on God's Word is cemented with deep solid foundation instead of shifting sand. In other words, the design of the decision guarantees certainty, stability, unchanging truth and sure accomplishments. Notably, when you consider the Word or when it becomes the motive behind your decisions, you are putting the Word into practice.

Reference: Matthew 7:24 New International Version (NIV) "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.'

Jesus used a picture of a house built on the rock to illustrate the difference between those who practice what He has taught and those who do not. Living according to the Word is likened to a wise man who builds his house on a rock foundation. Therefore, the positive effects of building your life with the right decisions depends on a solid foundation.

In life, there is such a thing as temporary and permanent features. All your permanent decisions should never be based on temporary features. Permanent decisions should be based on permanent features otherwise what you build may not be sustained overtime. When you practise making permanent decisions based on God's Word, you'll always end up with a peace of mind. Even in times of pressure, instead of being in a haste to make premature decision, engage in speaking in tongues. That way, you are sure to be guided aright by the Spirit of God. Don’t ever let the fear of missing out drive your decision. When in doubt, leave it out, and let the Spirit of God prevail.

The foundation of any decision, investment or building matters, both in construction and in perspective. The Bible says, 'Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away' (Matthew 24:35 NIV). The Word of God is the only permanent building material in this world. Every other tool can fade away or fail overtime because they are temporary but the Word of God abides forever. Therefore ensure that you base your permanent decisions on the Word so you'd never go wrong. Decisions based on the Word will stand even in the test of time, when winds and violent storms have blown.

Sometimes when you make decisions based on the Word, you might look unnatural. However, that's the supernatural life you've been called to live - the Kingdom lifestyle.

Always stand on your Word-based decisions because you are not ordinary. When you do so, no matter how it seems, if you remain patient, you'll surely emerge victorious at the end because Word-based decisions count in the long run. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV) says, 'So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' Therefore never be intimidated by any temporary situation because it is subject to conversion. At all times, listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and focus on God's Word which is permanent.

Guided Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for your Word which grants me the wise perspective in decision making. As I fellowship daily with the Word and yield to your Spirit, I make wise decisions influenced by the Word. Regardless of the choices I'm faced with, I refuse to lean on my own understanding, rather in all my ways, I acknowledge you. Your Word remains forever and it makes my paths straight. Thank you Father for the positive outcomes due to Word-based decisions, which ensure a greater impact for the Kingdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
