KINGDOM HEIRS - PART 1

There are Scriptures that truly demonstrate the grace of God upon the lives of those who are in Christ Jesus. God expressed His love towards us to the extreme in Christ. And His deepest motive is love, which is the very key to obtaining all inheritance in Christ. Let's look at the influence of this Scripture which gave rise to everything we are or have in Christ.

Reference: Galatians 3:29 New International Version (NIV) "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

In Christ, 'you are Abraham's seed, and heirs', which implies certainty. You already are 'Abraham's seed and heirs'; you are not going to become Abraham's seed when we get to heaven. Its your present moment reality. You can rest assured that you are a heir. The only people who cannot be sure of this are those outside Christ. In our referenced Scripture, 'If you belong to Christ' suggests - unless or except you have been saved...'

As saved Christians, we are full children of the Almighty God. We are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. More specifically, all the promises that God made to Abraham belongs to Christ because He is the ultimate offspring of Abraham. So all of the blessings God gave to Abraham flow to us through the channel called Christ. By being in Christ, we have become Abraham's seed and heirs to the Kingdom. Romans 8:16-17 (NIV) says, 'The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.'

Being a heir of the Kingdom transcends all possible barriers, such as race, culture, tribe, gender, wealth, career and status. All are irrelevant to our stand or position in Christ. Anyone who belongs to Christ by faith is a heir. Think about this for a while: God made everyone of us in Christ an heir to all the glories of His kingdom along with His only Beloved Son, Jesus, no matter our earthly background, race or description. He didn't just make us heirs, He made us co-heirs with Christ Jesus. In other words, we share the kingdom inheritance with Christ equally. We have the right to possess everything that belongs to Christ because we are sharers with Him in the eternal and uncommon wealth of the Spirit.

On God's part, it is absolutely a clear evidence of His boundless love for us, His children. After all, He has every right to treat us as mere, ordinary creatures or brand us as inferior beings in Christ. But He didn't. Instead, he made us a brand new creation in Christ and assigned us every inheritance that belongs to Christ. What about Jesus Himself? The Bible says, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich" (2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT). By His humiliation, we became partakers of all the good things pertaining God's glory, dominion, and blessings. Jesus made Himself of no reputation, so we could participate in divine wealth and resources. In short, He emptied Himself, so that we might have everything.

Scripture Reading - John 3:35; Galatians 3:18; Colossians 1:12; Hebrews 6:17.

Exuberant Declaration: I'm a heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I have free access to Kingdom inheritance. I swim in the fulness of the Messianic blessings and in the riches of my reconciliation, justification, sanctification, peace and joy. I have the certainty of eternal life, and I enjoy the whole sum of spiritual and material blessings which Christ has obtained for me by His humiliation, even to the death of the cross. Hallelujah!
