JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST

How do you evince that you are a child of God? The Holy Spirit makes God's fatherhood real to you by whispering and confirming it in your innermost being. From time to time, He sends you this inward alert or notification in your spirit, 'You are God’s beloved child!' Its like a regular testimonial and endorsement happening on the inside. And since we are His true children, we qualify to partake of all His treasures. Indeed we are heirs of God Himself. No doubts about it! His Spirit lives in us, and Christ dwells in our hearts by faith.

'It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ...'

One main characteristic of a son is that he is his father's heir. So it is with the Christian. We are heirs of our Heavenly Father and joint-heirs with Christ. Nothing in the Bible could be more amazing than this. Grace has transformed us into princes and princesses, royal ones that share in the inheritance of Christ. In other words, we are more than just a shareholder of a part of divine inheritance. With Christ, we own and have access to everything that pertains to His glory. Remember Christ invested His life on our behalves. And not just that, He also made it possible for us enjoy equal rights with Him, even though we invested nothing, except faith in His finished work. What a privilege!

Because God is your Father, you are an heir of God. You have an inheritance, and the good news is, you don't have to wait until you get to heaven to enjoy the benefits. Some people believe the Bible teaches that they will get their inheritance from God when they die and go to heaven, like some kind of heavenly reward for righteous and holy living. But this is not true. As a joint heir with Jesus, you got your inheritance from God when Jesus died.

Remember, inheritance is the practice of passing on private property, titles, rights, and obligations upon the death of an individual. So Jesus had to die, to see to it that His will was carried out- that His joint heirs got their inheritance. As a joint heir with Jesus, you're entitled to healing and steady health; it's your inheritance. You're entitled to prosperity; it's your inheritance. You're entitled to victory and success; they are your inheritance and birth rights.

Galatians 3:29 (CSB) says, 'And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, heirs according to the promise.' Here 'Promise' includes our 'promised inheritance' which has been fulfilled and 'now' available in Christ. So don't wait until you get to heaven to start enjoying the inheritance God has provided for you through Jesus Christ. It's yours now. Begin to access it now by building your spirit with God's Word and exercising your faith in Him.

Dear Father, your Word is ever true and eternal. Thank you for making me a heir in your Kingdom and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. As the seed of Abraham, I have access to all my inheritance in Christ and I enjoy them now. I walk in the reality of my healing, health, prosperity, victory, and success today and always in Jesus' Name. Amen!
