In part 3, I expounded the richness of wisdom which Christ has become for us, and how God got His saints intertwined or united with Christ in an inextricable oneness. How? We have become His permanent abode, and we are found in Him, all because of God. More below!
Reference: 1 Corinthians 1:30 Berean Standard Bible (BSB)
"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption."
Get this into your mind: The above Scripture was written by God. It was God using the inspired apostle's words as His golden pen, to communicate to us about what Christ has become for us. And you must gain the understanding that God's Word is not any man's personal opinion, including apostle Paul.
Beloved, it is from God that we are in Christ Jesus, who has become to us wisdom from God, and in today's article, the next eternal value He has become for us is our righteousness, meaning that He made us right with God and acceptable to Him.
Fellow born again Christians, have you ever noticed that righteousness is a felt palpable presence in our hearts and spirits? Our righteousness is Christ, and we must be constantly awakened to the dynamics of the felt presence of righteousness in our inward being. It's a divine nature and a comprehensive feature within us which assures us that we truly and harmoniously walk with God.
My other definition of righteousness is "God has found me, and in Him I have been found." Hallelujah! To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression in Philippians 3:9 reads, "and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith" (NIV).
Some people act like God has got nothing to do with this world; but believe me, He has a lot to do with it, and everyone in it. In fact, on the one hand, this is how much God thinks about the world: The earth is mine, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to me (Psalm 24:1 NLT). On the other, this is how much God loves the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16 NLT).
Although He loves the world of people, spending eternity with God will not just happen to any of us. So His righteousness through our faith in Christ is His agency for ushering us into the kind of future He wants for us to live in, and to grant us this righteousness, He took action by sending Christ to die for us in order to have us there with Him at the end of age. Since the only condition for receiving this righteousness is "believing in Christ," as long as the earth remains, the beneficial capacity for genuine salvation will remain available to all and sundry.
The Bible says, "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT). The gift of righteousness! It is a pattern of the mystery, namely Christ. It is the ambience of divine nature. The world of people, hear me: God has the most desirable future which you must consider and prepare for. The acceptable direction to this future is the gift of righteousness from God, not your own righteousness; this is why it transforms how we think, far from the ways of this world.
Therefore, if you are yet to manifest on earth as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, heartily declare the prayer of salvation below and get born again, so that Christ will produce in you, a living hope which will result in spending eternity with Supreme Deity in His wonderfully constructed new heaven and earth. Stay tuned for part 5. Shalom!
I acknowledge today that God demonstrated His unconditional love for me in this: While living without Christ, He sent Him ahead of time to die for me. Therefore I repent and renounce the nature of sin and I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I believe and confess with all my heart that Jesus is the Son of the true living God, who died for me and was raised from the dead on the third day by God. I affirm that Jesus is risen and He's alive forever. I accept Him into my heart and I declare His Lordship over my life forever. I'm now born again as a new creation. I have eternal life: my present-moment reality. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me and taking full charge of my life, as my Lord. GLORY TO GOD!
