HOW DID GOD QUALIFY YOU? - PART 1
MONDAY 17 OCTOBER 2022
When we come to the knowledge of Christ and accept His Lordship, there is a transfer that happens. It may not be visible in the physical realm but it is so in the spiritual realm. The transfer means that we've been transplanted and relocated to the Kingdom of light, from the domain of darkness. The dominion of darkness is where man is considered as being in a lost state and in need of a Saviour but the Kingdom of light is where man becomes a new creation, as soon as light is let into his soul and spirit by the Spirit of God because he has embraced the only Saviour, Christ.
Reference: Colossians 1:12-13 Amplified Bible (AMP) "Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (God's people) in the Light. For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son."
I like this Scripture more than milk and honey. As a Christian, have you actually thought of and understood what it means to be qualified by God? It should indeed, be considered as an overwhelming thought, if you've made an effort to do so. It means that you are sincerely, divinely and highly recognized as possessing the God-kind qualification or meeting His divine standard that grants access to Kingdom inheritance. And this is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. For this reason, what are we expected to do? Give thanks anyhow, anytime and anywhere!
According to Darby translation, this qualification means that we've been made fit to share the portion of the saints in light; yes you are considered worthy to acquire and store up for yourselves treasures of Kingdom inheritance. So understand that you are not deficient in any way, you are not unworthy and you don't have to feel unworthy, having been chosen and qualified by God to possess adequate and glorious inheritance. The Psalmist stated it in this manner: LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance (Psalm 16:5-6 ). Firstly, how does the Lord guard all that is yours in Christ? Its simple! Anything or inheritance that is based on the kingdom of His beloved Son is automatically secure.
Secondly, where are the boundary lines fallen for you and what sort of inheritance do you have? Its fallen in pleasant places! No, it didn't fall in dreadful, distressing and awful places; therefore you don't have any business with disadvantageous outcomes. And you have a delightful inheritance. Why? It's by reason of your present location - Kingdom of His beloved Son. Beloved, God Himself has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (His people) in the Kingdom of light. And it's important to acknowledge that He is the One that did this for us. It wasn't Jesus, although it was through Him. It weren't the angels and definitely, it weren't any of the heavenly beings. He is the Almighty; the greatest of all! Now think about this question seriously: who or what can disqualify you? Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Ephesians 2:10; 2 Peter 1:3; Ephesians 2:18 ; 2 Corinthians 3:5; Ephesians 5:8.
Guided Prayer: Thank you Father for revealing Christ in me in His fullness by delivering me from the kingdom of darkness and placing me in your marvellous light. You have fulfilled your great purposes of redemption in my life through the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, I'm free from all bondages, including sin, corruption, vileness, and weakness, and I'm forever alive unto you, being actively qualified to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light. Hallelujah!
