GRACE REVEALED
WEDNESDAY 09 FEBRUARY 2022
Grace is the love of God at work - which is revealed to mankind through Christ. And today, we are going to take heed to Pauline persuasions and emphasis to steadfastness in the revelation of the doctrine and liberty of the gospel of grace.
Reference: Titus 2:11 New Living Translation (NLT) "For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people."
Through his pastoral epistle to Titus, known as "Pros Titon", apostle Paul stresses the importance of sharing concepts which are proper for the sound doctrine of God's grace. He reveals that the grace of God is the gift of God which man can receive by faith in Christ. It brings salvation to all who place their faith in Christ and it delivers the blessed hope and righteousness made available to all in Christ.
Why faith in Christ? Faith in Christ is important because Christ saves all who rely on Him as their only Saviour. Christ is the only person that brought grace to mankind. No other person but Christ. In other words, God's grace has not been revealed through many forms and people. So its important that any human being who will come to God must affirm and declare their faith in Christ and acknowledge Him as the only true Saviour and Lord. Therefore, the "faith" evidence in only One person (Christ) is very strong in favour of receiving the salvation of God's grace.
2 Timothy 1:9-10 (NIV) reads, "God has saved us and called us to a holy life- not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel." Beloved, grace was given in Christ before the beginning of time, as a gift prepared for us long before we existed or even knew anything about it. But we know it now because it has been disclosed through appearance of Christ, the Saviour of mankind.
Now its not enough to know that the revelation of grace has come; every soul should respond to it in order to be saved. And watch this: Nothing could ever give us more joy than this truth: Death was defeated by this revelation and light that leads to eternal life is now made available to all through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Christ Jesus didn't just abolish death; He also illuminated the way to life and immortality through the gospel of grace. Now every man alive on earth remains legally answerable to the tuition of this light and dispensation of grace, whether or not they have been saved. This is why the Bible says that Christ, the One who is the true light, gives light to everyone, coming into the world (John 1:9 NLT).
Titus 3:4-5 correspondingly reads, "But when the kindness of God our Saviour and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit" (NIV). Did you grasp that? Since grace appeared through Christ, humankind can receive salvation, not because of anything they've done or contributed. Nobody has to work to deserve or merit salvation or labour for it like a bricklayer or portrait painter. It is free of charge; a free gift which anyone can come the way they are and receive. This is why salvation still remains unconditionally available, irrespective of the lost souls who might disregard it or are refusing to accept it.
Grace is so vast in its working, considering the truth that no matter the number of those who come to Christ to receive salvation, they will be accepted in the Beloved by God. In another way, salvation is not received or assigned to mankind on the basis of first come; first served. So its God's grace and tolerance fully operational on behalf of mankind. Through the Spirit, we can reach out to the lost at any given time and win them, and by the quickening power of the Spirit, they could receive the hope of righteousness by faith. 2 Peter 3:8 (NIV) noted, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient, with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance."
Moreover, if you are reading this and you are not yet born again, please do not let this truth escape your notice: There is a coming judgement for those who reject Christ in their lifetime and surely, the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. Therefore do not waste time in accepting the free gift of grace and salvation revealed in Christ because just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once, after that [comes certain] judgment (Hebrews 9:27 AMP). To receive salvation in Christ and make Him your Lord, kindly declare the prayer of salvation below. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Titus 3:7; Acts 14:3; 2 Corinthians 8:9;Ephesians 2:7; Acts 20:24; Ephesians 3:7-8.
Guided Prayer: I acknowledge today that God demonstrated His unconditional love for me in this: While living without Christ, He sent Him ahead of time to die for me. Therefore I renounce the nature of sin and I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I believe and confess with all my heart that Jesus is the Son of the true living God, who died for me and was raised from the dead on the third day by God. I believe that Jesus is risen and He's alive forever. I accept Him into my heart and I declare His Lordship over my life forever. I'm now born again as a new creation. I have eternal life: my present-moment reality. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me and taking full charge of my life, as my Lord. GLORY TO GOD!
CONGRATULATIONS IF YOU DECLARED THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST. YOU ARE WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!
