GOD IS THOUGHTFUL OF YOU - PART 2
TUESDAY 28 JUNE 2022
God is never in times of uncertainty regarding your life. Remember He shaped and formed you in your mother's womb, where you were made in the secret place and was woven together in the depths of the vastly unknown. Therefore, the knowledge of God's thought about us must be considered as an essential principle to indulge in, in relation to our Christian faith. In a nutshell, there can be no successful and favourable intimacy with God when this knowledge is ever wanting.
Reference: Psalm 139:17-18 Living Bible (TLB) "How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!"
This is a weighty Scripture that has the capacity to mould your life, on the side of divine awareness, as you become accustomed to the meditations of God's will for you, and less familiar with negativity within your world. Everyone can agree that David was deeply captured by the concept of divine cogitation, which denotes a life that is bigly committed to his personal devotion to God and heavily invested with the supremacy of transcendent reality. Moreover, his intention here is for us to understand that God's meditations mean a lot to him, and so we must not take them lightly as we walk with God, because they are of incalculable, advantageous importance.
The context of today's topic can also demonstrate that God's thought is inextricably linked to His saving action on behalf of His people and so, it should not be limited to just our personal view of His benevolence. In other words, God's thought and His saving power cannot be separated from one another because His thought about His people before the foundation of the world, was what led to His action that executed the plan in Christ. Hence, His thoughts form the basis of the fulfilment of the plan for our redemption and justification in Christ. After God made that thoughtful decision of what and how best we should become, He followed it up by calling us in Christ. After He called and raised us up with Christ, He set us on a solid basis with Christ in the heavenly realms.
On account of His thoughts, Romans 8:29-30 (AMP) says, "For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity]." So He actually established the plan of His thoughts for our lives before we ever began to taste the sweetness of it in Christ.
Beloved, the energy of God's thoughts is well directed toward you. His good intentions regarding you is marked by the gift of His grace that are now bestowed upon all the saints in Christ. For instance, Acts 20:32 says, "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified" (NKJV). God's Word are His precious thoughts that nourish our souls with divine grace. Throughout the Scriptures, His thoughts are replete with the counsel of His will, which is designed for the gradual building up of our spiritual stature and the full grant and endowment of our rightful inheritance among the saints who are set apart for His purpose. So we are the aim and object of His thoughtful contemplation throughout the Scriptures. Hence, always remember this: "And when I wake up in the morning, God is deeply thinking of me!" Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
