GOD DESIRES TO SHOW US - PART 2
FRIDAY 28 MAY 2021
I've never met anyone who assured me that they would show me great and mysterious things that I do not know about through the scheme of prayer, except God. If He said it, He will always do it. He has great and unsearchable things yet unknown, to be made known. For this reason, He challenged Jeremiah to ask for supernatural revelations and disclosures.
Reference: Jeremiah 33:2-3 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) "Thus says the Lord Who made [the earth], the Lord Who formed it to establish it - the Lord is His name: Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)."
God's invitation here is likened to someone introducing His expert skill or knowledge in a particular field. Then the person gives you his complimentary card which provides all His details as follows:
Full name: (The Lord is my name) Accomplishments: (I made the earth; I formed it and establish it) Contact for correspondence: (Prayer) What he offers and what he can do for you: (When you call Me, I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know about).
Our God is so awesome. He wants us to always call to Him through prayer and He will show us great and mighty things. His response is not limited to supernatural revelations and disclosures. In other words, in your prayer times, raise your expectations for big things. Don't always ask God for small, insignificant and irrelevant things. We are summoned by God Himself to ask Him for big things. Remember, He is the Almighty God of great and mighty things and He's willing to answer, to deliver great things and to reveal mysteries to whosoever will.
So what are you going to do? Increase your faith in asking for great things. As you increase the largeness, size and the level of your expectations from God, also do your best to increase your passion for prayer since God has revealed prayer as the effective key to showing us great and unsearchable things. God has great designs as answers to your prayers, just as He also delights in unveiling divine mysteries in His answer to your prayers! But the size or largeness of what God can do for you depends on the size and largeness of your expectations.
Someone says, "What if I've been believing God for great desires and I'm yet to see their manifestations?" This is where your faith and perseverance are required the most. Do you truly believe that God will answer as He assured in the Scriptures? If so, then trust God, keep asking in prayer and attach your unwavering faith to your expectations because God will soon blow your mind. When you form the habit of hosting a consistent prayer life and keep raising the value of your desires and expectations, God goes before you to clear the path and to grant you more grace to expand your capacity to receive the great expectations. As He works behind the scenes on your behalf, sometimes He begins to introduce you to experiences, encounters, and connections that will prepare you for your great expectations when it arrives.
Sometimes, great things happen immediately when you ask. Sometimes it takes time. In any process, God allows your experiences to impact tremendous change in your way of thinking, in the way you handle issues and on the amount of patience you can gain, while expecting the answer. So by experiencing all these internal changes listed above, you are strategically positioned to receive His answers and the changes it will introduce in your external environment. Since fervent prayer and law of expectation are the strategy of securing the voice of the Spirit in disclosing great and unsearchable things and in delivering your desires, do all you can to sharpen your prayer life and keep it burning like unquenchable fire. Stay tuned for part 3 of this topic. Shalom!
