GOD DESIRES TO SHOW US - PART 1
THURSDAY 27 MAY 2021
God desires to show us great and mighty things of the Spirit. And there is such a thing as the depths of God. They are mysterious things that we still do not know about. However, no one can know them, except by the Holy Spirit, who makes known divine mysteries.
Reference: Jeremiah 33:2-3 New English Translation (NET) "I, the Lord, do these things. I, the Lord, form the plan to bring them about. I am known as the Lord. I say to you, 'Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things that you still do not know about.'"
Beloved, isn't the Almighty God a wonderful God? Just think about His sayings: Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it - the Lord is His name, 'Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish' (AMP).
I like this particular idea of God's expression: "I will show you." First, He tells us who He is, introducing Himself as the creator who established the foundation of the earth. Second, He reminds us that He is Lord. Third, He shows us the means to call and reach Him - effective prayer. Through the platform of prayer, we enjoy rewarding communications with God. Then He opens up to us in that realm. When He becomes actively present, available and more communicative to us, He shows us great and mighty things, including things which have been confined and hidden.
God enjoys making known His mysteries to those who are truly willing to explore divine truths. But what is a divine mystery? It is any truth unfathomable except by the divine revelation of God. It is a relevant truth that can make significant difference in regard to transforming our physical and spiritual lives, when we understand and apply them. God loves to reveal who He is to us because He is a "show off" God that boasts about wonderful things He's created and what He can do. He wants us to strongly believe Him so He can delightfully display more of His wisdom and indescribable riches of His glory to us. That's why He reminds us about His wonderful creation as a Creative Genius and then invites us for more insights into great and mysterious things through prayer.
Aside the earth creation, there are many things which we still do not know about in God. That's why He wants us to go deeper in worship and in serving Him as well as digging deep into His Word successfully and prayerfully. And the Golden news is that He's granted us the ability to look inside and engage the Holy Spirit so we can experience the great and might things - the deep things of the Spirit which have been confined and hidden. The Bible tells us that "the Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets" (1 Corinthians 2:10 NLT). So the great and mighty things of God are the things God reveals or can only reveal to us by His Spirit.
Since the Holy Spirit is responsible for unveiling and revealing God's mystery, it means that we can't do without Him. These revelations are spiritual truths continually conveyed to our spirits by the Holy Spirit, as we make ourselves available to receive them. So He searches for those deep truths, and then reveals and confirms them in our spirit. This is because God directly communicates from His Spirit to our spirit. That's why the Holy Spirit is given to us to impart those revelation knowledge as He guides us into all truth (John 16:13 NIV). Stay tuned for part two of this topic. Shalom!
