DIVINE PERFORMANCE - PART 2

WEDNESDAY 18 MAY 2022

I have already pointed out briefly the connection between a prophetic word and the performance in part one of this topic, and today, I need to remark that the link which holds them together until manifestation is very obvious - time. However what you do in-between is to stay conscious of the dictates and love God, trust Him, pray often about it and walk in step with the Holy Spirit.

Reference: Luke 1:45 King James Version (KJV) "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord."

Mary was indeed blessed to believe the prophetic word from God through angel Gabriel and she remained joyful in the process, praising God and acknowledging that all generations would call her blessed.

Apart from Mary, the Biblical name, Abraham, is also a good example of those who trusted in God after receiving a prophetic word in the midst of immediate, direct personal challenges. In fact, the great name, "Abraham" is always mentioned as the ultimate example of godly faith. The Bible recorded in Genesis 15:5-6 that God took him outside and said, "Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be." And Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Abraham's belief system was characterized and driven by trust and unshakeable faith in the goodness of God and His ability to prove Himself faithful, even when he could not see all ends.

The Bible also mentioned in Romans 4:20-21 (KJV) that Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform. Again note the word, "perform", which in this context, means to execute, carry out, do, implement, bring into effect an expectation, instruction, prophesy or decree. This means that Abraham fully understood that whatever circumstances might occur, there would eventually be a divine performance of the prophetic word concerning him.

A prophetic word is meant to challenge, encourage, uplift and empower every Christian believer, as well as act as a spur to greater heights. The practical application of its knowledge description should be a motivation that propels you to expect the divine performance. Moreover, you don't need to just focus on waiting for the exact time of the events concerning that which is prophesied. That would be profitless. Once you have received spiritual insight into the prophetic as an inner revelation, focusing on the physical manifestation is not only the main issue. There is much to live for between now and the time of manifestation; hence instead of just living for the manifestation, you must wake up to the process that leads to the performance. So here's the main thing: An understanding of the governing influence of the Holy Spirit in your life is what matters most because He is the one that will perform the prophetic word.

Walking abreast with the Holy Spirit reinforces the right perspective about details of the prophetic word concerning you. Therefore, you must continue to live your Christian life victoriously and fully dependent on His guidance. Just like Joseph and Mary observed the process that led to Jesus' birth by divine leading, the steps you have to take regarding the prophetic words, needs to be prompted by the Spirit, meaning that your inner eyes must be alert to see and grasp the reality of the process the Spirit will guide you into, regardless of any foreseeable or anticipated timing of the earthly fulfilment. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Amos 3:7; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 11:6; 2 Peter 1:19-21.
