DIVINE COMMUNICATION

MONDAY 28 MARCH 2022

Divine communication is not a conversation observed by religious people. It is a communication far above the average morality of the ordinary Christian talk. It is classified as higher thoughts of a more wholesome tongue which shares life-giving realities, set forth for us by the perfect example of Jesus Christ and they bring into operation, the power to construct a godly belief system and to shape any life according to God's perfect will.

Reference: John 8:43 New King James Version (NKJV) 'Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.'

The Jews didn't understand Jesus because to them, His language was so strange and incomprehensible. In the earlier verses, Jesus already said to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world", but their blind argument continued as a result of the deafness of their spiritual ears; they were helplessly unable to hear and understand the truth of the Word, because they produced high-level eternal verities.

In Christ, we are privileged to have the joyful awareness of divine truth brought to us by Christ Jesus, as well as the understanding of it. Most of the times, the reason unbelievers do not understand the gospel truth is because they can't bear to handle the message. They see it as foolish talks because they have no firm intelligence to grasp it. 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV) says, "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." The only way they can hear and understand the things of the Spirit is by receiving salvation in Christ which eradicates the "alienation" between them and God. Such alienation must be dealt with first before they can have their spiritual eyes and ears open to divine truths.

The words of the Master are health-giving communications. For instance, in Isaiah 33:24, let's consider what the Bible says, 'And no resident of Zion will say, "I am sick."' Come to think of it, a natural man will never understand this saying, let alone accept it because they do not have the spiritual insight to grasp that sickness is not part of Christ's finished work on the cross. As a born again Christian, are you from Zion? Emphatically yes! How do I know this?

Isaiah 12:22-24 reads, "But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel" (NIV). When did this happen? When you received Christ as Saviour and Lord!

The words of the Master are life-giving messages. For instance, John 6:63 says, "...The words I have spoken to you - they are full of the Spirit and life" (NIV). If anyone holds on to such words long enough, it will quicken their spirit and produce life in all their earthly undertakings or transactions. How do we hold on to the Word? We firmly grasp it by believing it in our hearts and honestly speak it forth. In other words, we are bound to acknowledge the truth because our minds are daily renewed and occupied with thoughts of wisdom and principles of the glorious gospel.

The Bible says, "Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing...But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God—[that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence]" (1 Corinthians 2:6-7 AMPC).

Of course, we have been furnished with plenteous wisdom to speak and communicate among those who are spiritually-minded, sourced from eternal, spiritual truths, not the popular wisdom or the fashionable, carnal wisdom from earthly sources. Therefore we must activate our spiritual sensor and train our spirits to always receive the wisdom of the Word. Then we can speak the inspired thoughts of the Spirit in order to establish life in every aspect of our lives and in our world. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Proverbs 15:4; Ephesians 4:29; Colossians 4:6; James 3:13.

Exuberant Declaration: I speak the dictates of wisdom among the mature, not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing but the wisdom of God. As I speak, it programmes and orders my steps to walk in absolute victory and to exercise unquestionable dominion over all the works of the enemy. Thus, I swim in perfect health and walk in extraordinary favour, enjoying God's best of blessings at all times. I express God's wisdom in all my communications, a mystery that was hidden before time began, which God destined for my glory. Hallelujah!
