THE VERY MIND OF CHRIST - PART 2

The mind of Christ finds inspiration in the consistency of eternal truth. Its a certain kind of mind that functions with heavenly wonder. This very mind demonstrates moral superiority with concomitant results. More below!

Reference: 1 Corinthians 2:16 Amplified Bible (AMP) "For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND and PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]."

To develop the mind of Christ, one must be determined and highly disciplined to set their sight on things above. If you habitually set your mind on things above, something glorious will happen to your human mind. This is the reason apostle Paul instructed us in Colossians 3:1-2 (NLT) saying, "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth." This scriptural expression accurately means devoting the vigorous, active powers of your mental faculty to heavenly realities. Simply put, be heavenly-minded since you've been elevated to a new life with Christ and in Christ. In doing so, the inherent cognitive or perceptual powers of your mind will synchronize with the heavenly system of thoughts.

It's just like we hear a popular saying that a normal human life is controlled thoughts, which define the person's habit, and that habit will define the person's behaviour, to the point of building his character which influences his results or outcomes in life. In a similar manner, when you begin to shape, construct and strengthen your mental space, faculty and production with spiritual realities, here's what will definitely happen: Your will, thoughts, perception, intuition, reasoning, imagination and memory will start aligning with the mind of Christ. Then, this very mind of Christ will begin to embolden your union with divinity and guide your behaviour which has developed well through the dynamism of your Christian experiences. You'll just notice that you perceive things and approach or respond to life with such an elevated and peculiar mindset, which is named the "mind of Christ."

So the mind of Christ wields the thoughts of divine nature which produces Christlike traits such as strong faith, transforming knowledge, ornamental virtues, unreserved meekness, cheerful patience, brotherly kindness, drastic godliness, cordial charity, ardent diligence, ample temperance or self-discipline. Therefore its of crucial importance or pivotal concern that you decisively practise the mind of Christ by staying focused on the Word because heavenly realities host the capacity to breathe the God-kind of imaginations into your mind, such that the air of your mentality will become pungently fresh and in turn, will endorse pure and noble thoughts, thereby influencing and upgrading the quality of your creative production within your mental environment. Guided Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, I thank you for the mind of Christ and the awesome inspiration and rare artistry it exerts in my life. It induces me to always wonder about your greatness and prompts me to contrive an atmosphere of active praise and worship from time to time. This very mind of Christ makes it customary for me to speak wisdom in a mystery, among the mature and in line with my divine nature and realities. Therefore, by constant help of the Spirit, I choose to remain in a state of concentration based on things above in Jesus' Name, Amen!
